Goom secures place on key national framework

Goom Electrical has for the first time secured a place on the Fusion21 Building Safety & Compliance national framework. Fusion21 members are public sector bodies including local authorities, blue light organisations, housing associations, schools and healthcare providers. The framework aims to inform their buying decisions through pre-selection of suppliers for defined Lots covering building safety and scrutiny in the wake of the Grenfell disaster and the Hackitt Review. Goom Electrical is one of 31 suppliers selected in England for Lot 11 – Electrical Testing & Electrical Works, and one of eight serving Scotland. Our submission was the highest scoring for quality in England for Lot 11, and in Scotland we were ranked second overall. Phil Woodhead, Fusion21 Category Manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome Goom Electrical onto the framework. The tender process was highly competitive and the process has identified the best contractors for our members to use. A further, real benefit to our members and their communities is the social value delivery that is aligned to organisational priorities and can be monitored and reported against for all call offs”. We are now on six frameworks:

  • Fusion 21 Electrical Testing & Electrical Works (England & Scotland)

  • ProcurePublic Electrical Services (England & Scotland)

  • Westworks Building Maintenance & Compliance Dynamic Purchasing System (England & Scotland)

  • Pagabo Dynamic Purchasing System (England & Scotland)

  • PROSPER Compliance & Facilities Management Dynamic Purchasing System (North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria)

  • Gentoo Electrical Testing Services, Associated Repairs and Smoke Detector Replacements (Sunderland, Houghton, Hetton and Washington)

Goom Electrical Ltd Managing Director, Paul Goom, said: “Gaining a place on the Fusion21 Building Safety & Compliance framework is a big step forward for our business. With the other framework awards we have secured in the last few months, this helps position us with public sector clients as being among the very best in our industry, which is testament to the hard work and dedication of our Engineers and office team. We look forward to working with Fusion21 over the next 4 years to help improve the electrical safety and compliance of its members’ premises in England and Scotland.”
